St Aloysius Evening College Students Orientation Programme 2014-2015
St Aloysius Evening PU College organized an orientation programme for the newly admitted I PU and II PU students on 16 June 2014 at 5.30 p.m. in the Loyola Hall. The major objective of the programme was to make the students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the institution and ensuring teachers’ participation in monitoring the programme and progress of the student. MrsBlanet Paul welcomed the dignitaries and it was followed by the inauguration of the programme with the lighting of the lamp. Rev Fr MelwinMendonca SJ, President of the function, Dr Pradeep M, coordinator and Mr James D’souza convener of the programme occupied the seats on the dais.
Rev Fr MelwinMendonca SJ in his speech appreciated the student and staff achievements in getting very good results. He acknowledged the efforts of MrRavikiran who scored 548 marks in II PU exams in spite of odds in his life. He encouraged to imbibe the qualities of Ravikiran to become a successful student. He kept the audience glued to their seats. He stimulated the interest of the teenagers towards the studies and moral ethics. The formal programme was concluded with vote of thanks. MrSunil Dept. of Political Science proposed the vote of thanks. Later students were given refreshments. MrAlwynD’souza, Head of the department of Hindi gave necessary information about the academic rules and regulations about the academic matters. The programme was followed by the class orientation programme by the teachers. The Formal programme was compered by Mr Joseph Prem Saldanha, HOD of English beautifully.
