The two-year Pre-University Course, under the regulations of the Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka, is offered by the College with the following combination of subjects:

PRIVATE STUDENTS
  • Those who complete 17 years as on 31.03.2013 can join II PUC Arts or Commerce Combinations and can save one year.
  • First year PUC failed students have to submit the original fail marks card and Transfer Certificate.
  • S.S.L.C. original marks card and original transfer certificate are required to register for the public exam.
  • Outside state students Kannada as a language

  ELIGIBILITY  
  All those who have completed SSLC or equivalent examination which are recognised by the Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka Government are eligible to apply for FIRST year Pre University Course.  
Applicants from outside India (Gulf and other countries) are expected to bring the Eligibility Certificate from the Pre-University Board, 18th Cross, Sampige Road, Malleshwaram, Bangalore - 560 012. Phone: 080-23361850.
  Applicants from within India (i.e. other Boards) are expected to pay Rs.300/- as eligibility fee at the College Office and need not produce the Eligibility Certificate.  
SPORTS Students who have represented the State or the Country in Sports and Games will have special preference for seats during admission.
  Application & Admission Process: Application forms for PUC are available in the College Office. Through post, you can obtain application form and prospectus by sending a postal order for Rs. 50/- along with applicant's complete address.  
Application forms should be filled in, complete with regard to all the information asked for, in the candidate's own handwriting.
  Application forms should be registered at the College office and the receipt should be obtained by the due date. The registration fee is Rs. 25/- which will not be refunded under any circumstances.  
Application forms received by post will be registered only if a postal order for Rs. 25/-, payable to the Principal, is enclosed. An acknowledgement will be sent only if a self-addressed postcard is enclosed.
  During admission days a list of the provisionally selected candidates will be published on the College notice board. Only such candidates will be sent intimation cards for personal interview. Candidates who do not appear for the interview on the specified day are liable to lose the seat provisionally allotted to them. Check the notice board if there is  a postal delay.  
The candidates are discouraged from approaching a third person and producing recommendation letters to obtain admission. Please be alert of those persons who promise admission and demand money from you. Please inform the Principal about such matters.
  The provisionally selected candidates are not entitled to admission. Actual admissions are made by the Principal after personal interview for which both the parents with the candidate should be present.  
Those who are called for the interview should bring with them - I) the intimation card, 2) attested copies of the marks card, 3) conduct certificate.
  Original documents have to be submitted to the office when the documents are received from the Board. Please keep ready few Xerox copies of the original documents.  
Foreign students cannot be admitted unless they have student/long term visas and no AIDS certificates.
  The admitted candidates should pay the fees immediately after the interview, failing which, they will lose their admission. Selected candidates who do pay the fees or after paying the fees do not attend classes for five consecutive days without intimation, will forfeit their seats. The fees, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances.  
Candidates whose family income is less than Rs. 11,000/- per annum and wish to apply for the fee concessions for the academic year should submit their applications in the prescribed forms (Forms No. 1, 2 or 3), duly completed in all respects while paying the fees. Applications will not be accepted later. In case the Government does not reimburse the fees to the College, the difference will have to be paid by the candidate.
  Candidates who are found to have obtained admission by false representation will be summarily dismissed with forfeiture of fees. Govt. Fee Regulation : Tuition fees and special fees for the year are payable in one installment. A receipt signed and dated by one who is deputed by the Principal shall be granted for every payment of the fee made.
